Keep the skin dry, and make sure the skin is not in contact with urine and stool.
Change the diaper every time it is wet.
Do not use "baby wipes" that have alcohol Keep the diapers off as much as possible
Give more fluids to make the urine less concentrated. Do not use baby powder while a rash is present. Apply plain petroleum jelly or Vaseline on the rash when using the diaper.
