That means there is a need to achieve much stricter glucose control. I note that for a height of 158 cm (5'2") your weight of 82 kg is too much. The ideal weight for your height would be 55-60 kg. If you go on a very strict 1500 calorie diabetic diet and walk for 5-6 km per day your weight will start coming down and along with this your insulin requirements will come down

Dear User, Type 2 Diabetes is not a genetic condition, rather it is an acquired condition due to a sedentary lifestyle, obesity etc. There is a chance the child is prone to it when he becomes an adult, but being active and avoiding obesity along with other factors will definitely be helpful.
