For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and diet history.
Also being in your teens your nutritional needs are higher. You need to concentrate on good nutrition.
Though you can follow some guidelines -
have small frequent meals.
Do not fast for long hours.
Avoid a very heavy meal at one time.
Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar.
Avoid junk foods.

Looking at your weight and height, you are having a BMI of 21.6 kgs/M2, which is marginally less. Your ideal body weight can be about 52 to 53 kgs.
To increase weight first thing is to achieve a strict blood glucose control with fasting closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. If this is achieved, then proper nutrition and exercise will help in gaining weight. Thanks.

Hi , pls follow the doctor prescribed medicine. Which controls the diabetics and will not allow you increase. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. Make sure you food must have high protein, fiber and omega-3 nutrition. For a diabetics, its good to have more protein rather than carbohydrates, which converts into glucose and may have a chance to increase the diabetes. Let me suggest you the best medicine. Yes,you are right.It can be controlled.You can do it by proper diet and regular exercise.Avoid fast foods,junk foods,sugar,sweetened juice,soft drinks,cola beverages.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Take plenty of fiber rich foods.Take whole fruits.Extra protein will help in this regard.No excess Oil.No underground vegetables,banana,pumpkin.Take stress free rest.You can use nutritional supplement to control blood sugar levels.These will help.
