We take carbohydrate in the form of rice, wheat, sugar etc. The complex molecules of carbohydrate are broken down into simple glucose molecules during digestion & released in the blood stream to be absorbed by the muscle cells. If diabetes is already diagnosed then there is no question of prevention. Prevention is only possible when diabetes has not yet occured or it is at prediabetes stage. At that time weight control, regular exercise and diet restriction help in prevent progression to diabetes. But once the disease is dignosed treatment with appropriate drugs is the only option in addition to above mentioned measures. Thanks for the question.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Diabetes means excess blood glucose. It needs appropriate drugs and diet control plus regular exercise to achieve strict blood glucose control.
There are really no health drinks that I can think of. Protein powder with no sugar with milk can be a good heath support drink, that too after strict blood glucose control. Eating a balanced diet is best nutrition. Increased intake of green leafy vegetables and permitted fruits (100 g a day) is good. Thanks.

You have to closely observe your plate and you can come up with a better diet plan for yourself or your mother.
