Blood glucose level over 400 mg is too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. Therefore, first and foremost is to achieve a strict blood glucose control. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg/ 100 ml. PP 160 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <7.
To suggest any diet plan I need to know following details: fasting, Pp glucose levels, HbA1c%, present treatment, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise and lipid profile.

You may search the net for that. Though you may not find an exclusive list. But the simple baseline would be to understand that whichever food you eat should be healthy and nutritious. Eat seasonal fruits in moderation (do not overeat those that are sweet in taste ). Specific diet to be recommended will require all the following information: Fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, extent of daily exercise, present diet and drugs with dosage.
Generally one should avoid sweets, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, foods made from maida and colas as well as juices.
Should use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. Increase the intake of fiber containing foods. Increase intake of green leafy vegetables ...more
