Your question is bit confusing. Sugar free pills or powder are chemicals which given in a very very small quantity give a sweet taste for patient satisfaction for limited items like tea etc. But this is not in true sense a substitute to free sugar to be used in cooking, better known as glucose. Dear lybrate-user, it is likely your doctor put you on a ppi (pantoprazole) etc along with other medicines. If yes, kindly do not take acid suppressing medications as they cause depression and weak bones and poor digestion. Kindly add himalaya diabecon ds
and nestle resource diabetic for energy and strength.
As for eye issue, I suggest you try getting 8 hours minimum sleep. I wish you all the best.

Take balanced diet with ample green leafy vegetables. Prefer whole grain cereals. Avoid fatty food. Avoid high glycemic index food like maida, potato, white bread and sugar.

To reduce it you need to do exercise and reduce calorie intake. Also do post prandial blood sugar level test .as hba1c is 6.7 it's diabetes.

I have gone through the information given. You have mentioned only the fasting glucose level. There is no information on after food glucose & hba1c%. Also there is a need to know her lipid profile, serum creatinine & urea levels to give any specific advise. It is better if you also give information on her dietary pattern, weigh, height and extent of daily exercise. Ideally at her age fbg should be < 100 mg, pp should be around 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%. That ...more
