You are on non allopathic treatment. I will not be in a position to advise you on this as I am an allopathic doctor.
Nasal polyps occur on account of an allergy. Steroid nasal sprays along with an antiallergic tablet should help get rid of the nasal polyps. If they are still present then an endoscopic sinus surgery will help.
You may be having blockage of the nose on account of which you are not in a position to get a good night sleep.

As such no major side effects are there but your doctor must have advised these for few days. U should again visit your doctor if there is any problem. If no problem then discontinue cetrizine and ear drop because hole will be cured only by operation.

Hello lybrate-user, hope you are safe. A unilateral nasal polyp would require a nasal endoscopy examination to know its current status and further management. The cough could be due to the post nasal drip or allergic phenomenon going in the sinonasal pathways. Either of which needs to be treated with a proper consultation on the phone.

If you have polyps in the left nostril, I would say go for a ct scan pns (all views) because for you age, a perfect diagnosis is essential before deciding the further management. Let us know if you need our consultation. And as you are a patient of asthma, we would need to rule out a few conditions in your case by performing a nasal endoscopy.

What is a Nasal Polyp?

If you have chronic obstruction of the nose, nasal voice, frequent sneezing, you could be having nasal polyps. It is worthwhile to understand that a nasal polyp is non-cancerous. It is a teardrop-shaped growth in the nasal cavity. At times, it forms in the sinuses or at the opening of the sinus into the nasal cavities.
