Hello, ya missing tooth can be either replaced by an implant or a fixed bridge. For a bridge to be possible the missing tooth space should have at least one tooth on both the sides so that with the support of adjacent teeth a bridge can be made and cemented. So if your missing tooth fulfil this criterion you can opt for this. And it can be easily done in the time mentioned by you.
If your canine roots are healthy, they can be retained for root supported overdentures after doing their rcts. If the canines are already failing and periodontaly weak, it's better to remove them early do that further bone loss doesn't occur and get implant supported dentures for long term comfort. Implant surgery is not a complicated one and there is no reason why you should be afraid of them. All the best!
Depending upon your remaining teeth and jaw bone, if dental bridges are possible it may cost you about 60000/- for 20 teeth approximately. For acrylic denture it may cost you about 12000/- approximately for upper and lower both.
Look to place an implant in mouth a docter need to now which teeth need to b treatment. For eg - if it is molar tooth then its surface area is more need more diameter implant so accordingly cost will be more that it could able to withstand masticatory forces (chewing force) on tooth similarly if implant is planed to placed on front teeth like incisors or canine then cost will be less. Coz anterior teeth are basically fulfill aesthetic purpose. So,for posterior teeth cost could range between 20-30 k (implant + OPG (X-ray) + any other investigation + procedure (area where tooth is placed is visible enough or not all these conditions total decide cost)& anterior - 10-20 k (between) and that too I am talking 20-30 k in areas like Jaipur, udaipur (Rajasthan) not in metro like Mumbai, Delhi,Kolkata, Chennai etc. There cost is molars = 30-40 k per tooth. Anterior = 20 -30 k per tooth. But yes implant is very good treatment you should go for it if you are planning.
Dental implants are mainly used to replace a single missing tooth, which, in most cases, is a premolar or a molar tooth. Tooth decay, failed root canal treatment and cracking are some of the reasons that a tooth may be extracted. Front teeth, or incisors, are lost less frequently than molars. The primary molars are replaced by permanent premolars (also called bicuspids) and the permanent molars come in behind the primary teeth. Consult a dentist for more information. Take care.
the regular appointments required for Dental implants would be insertion of dental implants
suture removal or follow up
3 months follow up crowns impression crowns cementation The cost varies depending on the implant system it may vary from 18,000 and above for implants and additional crown charges.
Componeers are usually placed after slight reduction of tooth structure.
If they come out, it is adviced that you cover the tooth surface with a white fillings or componeer or veneer to avoid any future problems.
