If the kissing is so passionate that there is banging of the teeth involved between the two people than it can loosen up a badly retained front veneer . A pinch of salt will never be excessive in a full glass of water. In a day if you do 5 times rinse with this then the amount of salt used is less then the amount you eat in a day. Yes your dentist is correct, there will be no harm with warm saline rinse if you do through out your life.
