If you have shoulder pain then the stiffness will develop more that might make the arm to have less improvement which might make you to feel more pain the arm. And also cervical pillow can be used which might make you to have better posture of the shoulder neck and arm.

Your bent shoulder can be the result of disc if it was truly bulged and ortho and as advised by him you need to d the physio or whatever he suggests

Pain will go when 1)Bone is united(x-ray wil be evaluated by your doctor) and 2) Full movement is regained. So consult your operating doctor and he will guide you properly.
