Hi, your scalp needs to be examined to rule out dry scalp conditions which are treated with stronger medicines. Ketoconazole shampoo helps in treatment of dandruff. Avoid oiling your scalp. Use a mild shampoo like triclenz first and anti dandruff shampoo later. Do see your local dermatologist or consult online for further assessment and advice.

Dandruff is caused by malassezia furfur, a normal commensal on the skin, meaning everybody has it all the time. Most people have no symptoms. Yes dandruff can also lead to increased hair fall. Avoid oiling of scalp. You can use noskurf lotion at night and keep it overnight and wash your scalp next day with a ketoconazole salicylic acid based shampoo.

Use saldan shampoo for dandruff. Apply it over your scalp 15 mins before washing. Wash it off and then wash your scalp with a gentle shampoo like Triclenz. Avoid leaving oil over the scalp overnight.
