There are medicines in allopathy which can reasonably control the symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia. To prevent the pain avoid exposure to cold, drinking cold fluids, cover the ears when going out. Do visit your physician or neurologist for medications.

For persistent pain of trigeminal neuralgia not subsiding with medications then surgery is best choice. Consult any neurosurgeon first
two options of surgery one microvascular decompression and second one ptbc.
Both these techniques done under general anesthesia and both are safe. Pain relief is very good following both the procedures.

Drink lots of water. Avoid Spicy foods. Avoid fatty foods. Avoid oily and fried food. Eat smaller meals. Never remain hungry for long duration. Have 3-4 serving of fruits every day.
