Bananas and dates are a great source of copper and iron (needed to help the thyroid function properly), as well as selenium (an important antioxidant that's essential for the conversion of t4 to t3 hormone, the active form of thyroid hormone your body needs. Pumpkin seeds are also a rich source of zinc, which is critical to absorb other vitamins and minerals in the body and also promote the synthesis and balancing of thyroid hormones in the body.
