Sorry to hear about your accident, and glad that you were infact wearing a helmet. You are right about the mechanism of concussion, and yes mild concussion can happen even without loss of consciousness; however, if there are no clinical symptoms- no headaches, dizziness, memory issues, irritability, sleep issues, etc- I would not worry about it.
