Soft tissues get swollen fast. There may be swelling in eyelids too. Kindly get checked at hospital for any other injury. Primarily pl drink turmeric in milk.

You are right about the mechanism of concussion, and yes mild concussion can happen even without loss of consciousness; however, if there are no clinical symptoms- no headaches, dizziness, memory issues, irritability, sleep issues, etc- I would not worry about it.
