Cancer occurs when the controlled mechanism of the body is not able to function properly, leading to the development and rampant growth of the malignant cells in the body. These abnormally formed cells form a mass of tissues called tumor, which result in the growth of cancer. Symptoms and signs of cancer vary depending on which part of your body is affected. The early symptoms may include fatigue, loss of weight and appetite, dark patches on the skin, unexplained joint pain or bleeding.

Fissure is usually due to hard stools. Usually it is not associated with colon cancer.
Rarely, if colon cancer leads to constipation and hard stools, then it may lead to fissure.
Rectal cancers are associated with piles due to blockage of the rectal veins by the tumour.
Better to see a Surgical oncologist or a colorectal surgeon if you are worried about the same

Colon cancer is believed to be one of the common types of cancer affecting people. As the name suggests, here, the point of origin of the cancer is the colon or the large intestine. Though colon cancer can affect anyone, people with unhealthy lifestyle (sedentary) and habits (excess smoking and consumption of alcohol), obesity, certain medical conditions like diabetes, or exposed to radiations (radiation therapy) are at a greater risk of colon cancer. Colon cancer may also be hereditary.

Better to show to a general surgeon or a gastroenterologist if you are having those symptoms. If bleeding, most commonly it is due to piles or fissure. If a local cause is found, they would treat the same. They would do a colonoscopy / upper GI Scopy if no local cause is found and Biopsy if a growth is seen.
They may ask for CT scan and / or MRI if cancer detected.
The cancer is curable in most of the cases if detected at an earlier stage. Many patients try alternative medicine and come ...more
