Dear Lybrate user. If you get recurrent tonsillitis then permanent solution will be to get the tonsils removed. But it is your call if you want to go for homeopathy or any other line of treatment. If surgery is your main concern then let me assure you it's a very simple and these days with coblation technology a nearly painless surgery.

Snoring occurs due to resistance to the airway that may be due to local factors like enlarged tonsil, adenoids, fatty neck, bulky tongue. Now a days many modalities are available to find out the underlying cause and treatment of snoring like laser, coblation etc. So consult an ent specialist for this. Do steam inhalation and use nasivion nasal drops 2-2-2-2 for 2 weeks. U will feel better. Let me know if u r interested.

A tonsil operation or tonsillectomy can cost between 20000 to 40000 depending upon the hospital in a metro city and it can cost around 20-25% less in 2nd tier city. This is with cold steel or dissection method and with bipolar cautery. With coblation technology the price is increased by 30000. For heart surgery you need to consult a CTVS or heart surgeon.

If you r having recurrent infections in tonsils characterised by sore throat, fever n require antibiotic treatment, you should definetly go for tonsillectomy. But if you r having occasional sore throat you can opt for conservative treatment like maintaining oral hygiene, avoiding junk food, sudden change of temperature and maybe some antiallergic and immunity boosting medications for which you can consult your local ent specialist.
