Coblation A low-temperature device for removing tonsils offers surgery with less lingering pain than tissue-burning techniques.

It's called Coblation. The device uses radio waves that turn a simple salt solution into a stream of powerfully charged ions. These ions don't get very hot. But they carry so much energy, they cut right through tissues.

It is a safe surgery especially when using new age tools like Coblation Wands or LASERs.

The treatment of enlarged adenoids depend on symptoms. If there are no symptoms, no treatment is required. For infrequent episodes of infection, medications may be tried. However if the symptoms are severe or recurrent and seriously hampering quality of life adenoidectomy can be considered.

Dear madam, tonsils need to he removed if they get infected and need antibiotics every to 4 months or earlier. The surgery is fine under general anaesthesia and needs 1 day hospitalisation. They can be removed using coblation which reduces the bleeding during surgery and also the pain after surgery.
