1.Do warm saline gurgling 2-3 times daily
2.Take Throat lozenges,
3. Drink warm/cold fluid to ease pain
4.Have smooth/semi solid food,
5.Take adequate rest 6.Take a full course of antibiotic for 10 days after consulting ENT specialist (To avoid recurrence),
7. Take analgesic like paracetamol/ibuprufen for throat pain.

Smoking is harmful and while direct effect is on the lungs (breathlessness, cough), over time it effects almost all organs of the body including the heart. It causes not only lung cancer but cancers of other organs as well. Guthka is also very harmful and is most common cause of Oral Caner (Cancer of the Mouth) and Laryngeal Cancer (Cancer of the Voice Box) - which entails a very painful existence for the patient.
