Clinical evaluation of your knee would reveal the exact ligament that has been injured.
According to your history. Medical patellar retinaculum and VMO or ACL, Meniscus may be injured.
This will be further confirmed by MRI scans.
But then:
1. Perform static and dynamic Quadriceps exercises.
2. Apply local ice packs.
3. Medications like Enzomac and Tendocare will help.
4. Report with your Mr. scan.
Arthroscopy would solve your knee problems. Do not worry.

HI lybrate-user usually in this age group arthritis of the knee is very rare. The pain is mostly due to softening of cartilage either due to vit d deficiency or calcium. Avoid excessive load on the knee like sitting on the floor, climbing stairs and standing for long time. Do exercises like cycling and walking. Vit d suppliments and chondro protective agents should help.
