M&s lybrate-user I understand your concern for your baby. It is very nice that you are still breastfeeding in spite of this. The breast milk medically can be said to be less than normal if weight of child is not increasing as per age & child is passing diluted urine less than 6 times in 24 hours. Pl ensure exclusive breastfeeding day & night &frequent suckling is the most important stimulus to increase milk production. Be confident ,be cheerful& think positively about your child. There is no evidence of cancer causing substances in baby products. My sincere advise is apply olive oil (massage oil) wait for half an hour and do routine bath. Other than this nothing is required for baby.

Yes you can use them, besides if your child is breast fed, the mother as well needs to avoid all sour and cold foods, if cough doesn't subside by next 3 days, you will need an antibiotic for your child.

Dear Lybrate user
When you are lactating do not try to loose weight. Then it can affect the milk production. Once you finish lactation meet a good dietitian and take a weight loss program. You can take a face to face consult with me or online consult also. Currently reduce fried foods bakery items. Have vegetable at least one cup with lunch and dinner. Have fruits 1 cup at least through the day.

There is no medicine known to increase brest milk production. It is controlled by a complex mechanism of touch & pressure of breast leading to chain of harmones production resulting in breast milk secretion. In short it is demand & supply mechanism, more a child sucks more he gets Exclusive.Breast feed your child at least for first5-6 months. You can express milk if child is unable to take due to any reason to ensure constant supply.

more than one year there is no requirement for breastfeeding you can give other foods and start making your child grow more over if you are going to breastfeed after 1 year the calcium and vitamin D3 content in your body will go down so better take supplements and I don't want you to take lactare or galact granules to make your your breast feeding increase because it is time to switch over to normal food for the baby which needs more growth and attention because whatever in breast milk is not ad...more

Correct iron deficiency. Vegetarian diet is OK. Just ensure that both of you don't have any fertility problems. Good luck.
