Hello lybrate-user, this is called post inflammatory pigmentation. They will gradually fade away over time but to accelerate the process you can use serum or cream that contains azelaic acid follow it up with good moisturiser that suits your skin type. You can either buy it online or visit a pharmacy.
Always apply sunscreen before you step out the house. You'll see good results in 2-3 months of consistent use.
Feel better.

There are no medications which work for prevention of chicken pox once contact has already taken place. Chicken pox vaccine is available normally given at age of 1 year. And booster dose at 10 years. Or any age. But in present case may not work as viral transmission has already taken place. Those who have 1. Taken this vaccine in childhood and a booster dose and 2. Those who had already got chicken pox earlier will not get chicken pox again.

If chicken pox is confirmed by a clinician, you should have lot of fluid intake. Maintain good personal hygiene by regular bath etc. Avoid direct contact with people because it spreads to others who had no chicken pox anytime in the past or have not received its vaccine. Since chicken pox is likely to be severe and troublesome when occurred in adulthood it is better to consult a physician for proper medication like a course of antiviral medications and tablets for prevalent complaints.

Chicken pox starts with red spots and fever. They can appear anywhere on the body. There will be extreme itching. The spots fill with fluids. Then blisters may burst. They may form scabs with black coloration as new ones are formed. For continuation of fever beyond 3 days and increase in number of spots with itching, consult your doctor to diagnose exact reason of what is called eruptive fever. Till the you may have plenty of oral fluids upto 8-10 glasses and paracetamol tablets for for fever or...more

Hi,
chicken pox, when started to develop has not much of treatment.
Treatment is mostly focused on what trouble is he having with the same.
For itching I advice calamine lotion after bathing with warm saline water 4 times or 2 times daily.
Always hydrate with 2-3 litres of water.
Avoid oily foods.
Always go for porridge and steamed vegetables.
Get rest and sunlight.
I hope this helps.
Thankyou.
