Dear lybrate user, space left empty by removing a tooth is not good because it leads to bone loss in that area. Also, the neighboring teeth and the teeth in the opposing arch also begin to show slight movement towards the empty space which disturbs the normal relation between upper and lower teeth. You are still at a growing age. Don't think of extracting your tooth and leaving the gap empty.

The bleeding gums are due to accumulation of food debris, which is a result of inadequate maintenance of oral hygiene. I suggest that you get thorough professional cleaning/scaling done from a dentist, and use antibacterial mouthwashes thereafter. Following all these measures will solve your problem.
Hope that helps.

I'm currently under orthodontics treatment in my own college since last 5 months for slight overcrowding and twisted lateral incisors in mandibular arch. I noticed no effects of the treatment. Proximal stippling was done between premolars. I had no periodontal problems earlier. I maintain proper oral hygiene. Rectangular wire was placed 5 days ago. Today I noticed my gingiva to be edematous above the molar tubes in maxillary right quadrant. I do not wish to continue with the treatment since there are no visible effects on the tooth that was twisted. I had explained this to the concerned staff before rectangular wire was placed. They simply want to complete the case with or without prognosis and results. Is it necessary to complete the treatment? They are not willing to remove the braces without full payment. Is it possible for me to remove the braces in some other private clinic? I've noticed my teeth have become more sensitive since the treatment started. Please kindly.

Hi, your concern is valid. After proximal stripping, there are chances of sensitivity. As I do mot know your case history, I cannot comment if stripping was the only option for creating space between teeth. Stripping in between premolars is rather unheard of. Usually if required, that to with no other option, incisors are stripped. Initail 2-3 months is required for teeth to get used to the force. Tooth movement should be rather gradual or else it'll resorb the roots of your teeth. Bodily moveme...more

First thing your brushing was improper that is why yellow color spots came on teeth. Next is if you had this problem before braces that should have been treated before starting with braces and proper scaling has to be done before braces.

Hi lybrate-user. It is important to confirm if your tooth is milk teeth or permanent teeth. If its permanent teeth (if it can be saved) thrn its better we save it. If it's milk teeth then removal followed by a tooth replacement is a best option. Consult a dentist.
