a. most important factor is the pocket of patinet...usually alcon or AMO lenses are very good but these may be expensive...if you can afford then go for these lenses else go with simple hydrophilic lenses

You can safely go for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens, after control of blood sugar you will have to take clearance from cardiologist & few days before surgery you will have to stop taking aspirin. You should get operated where there is facility for cardiac monitoring in operation theatre must be attended by cardiologist during surgery, with regards.

cataract surgery at age of 23 ? .. acrylic lens if it is monofocal is mostly designed to correct distance vision.. for near vision you will require glasses that can be prescribed after one month
