The percent of vision affected depends on the cause or intensity of injury that caused the cataract, and also how long back the injury occurred. The eye surgeon who is going to do the surgery can give you a clear estimation of the possibility of percentage of visual recovery. The procedure will be to clear the cataract by phacoemulsification or laser emulsification, or total removal of cataract and implanting an intraocular lens (iol). Do not unduly worry about the outcome, best method is to get...more

Hello
this is probably our third conversation.
Nothing is wrong with surgery or lens.
-1 number is for distance vision and plus number is for near vision meaning you would need two glasses to see clear for distance and near or you can choose bifocal glasses.

Hello. After any surgery, it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the eyes to get back to their normal state. Thus, I would advice you to relax and not worry so much. Likewise, it would be a good idea to mention your complains to your operating surgeon as well. In that way, he/she would be able to solve any such doubts. Last but not the least, it is normal to have such symptoms immediately after cataract surgery so most probably, it should not be of any major concern. Hope my suggestions helped you.
