a. most important factor is the pocket of patinet...usually alcon or AMO lenses are very good but these may be expensive...if you can afford then go for these lenses else go with simple hydrophilic lenses

You can safely go for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens, after control of blood sugar you will have to take clearance from cardiologist & few days before surgery you will have to stop taking aspirin.
