Phaco is the best way for cataract surgery and we can put a numbered lens inside so you will not have to wear any spectacle and it can cost you approximately 30-80 thousand rupees after clinical examination.

I am a male with age 56. My both eyes are operated for cataract 2/3 years ago. Recently I have feeling difficulty in night driving like one year before operations. There is very less difficulty during day time. What may be the reason? My doctor says some problems in back side of eye and needs a minor operations again. Please if any medication can help?

71 years of age. Have glaucoma in both the eyes. But it is more advanced in the right eye. I also have cataract -- 50% in the right eyes. This makes it difficult for me to drive my car. The ophthalmologist I consulted advised cataract surgery in the right eye. My questions are: one, is it safe to go for cataract surgery in the eye affected by glaucoma? Second, Which surgery should ideally come first -- glaucoma or cataract or both simultaneously? Which is the safest thing to do? Third, is removal of cataract and replacement of the lens possible through laser? Where is this done?

Cataract surgery can be done and glaucoma surgery is done only if indicated but you will have to put drops lifetime and laser therapy is not done for cataract surgery

They are meant to correct distance (or near), different distances, with same IOL and the astigmatism. Your life style, visual needs and the budget decides this. All IOLs today are great. Indian IOLs are also very good. So, get the IOL work station work up done before surgery, and based upon their results your your visual needs you can discuss with your doctor. Monovision is one of the great ways to increase binocular depth of field.

I am 18 years old. My right eye and left eye powers are -7.25 and -6.50 respectively. I wear specs from very childhood. For last 1 and half year, power is changing very slightly between 0.25 to 0.5. I have gone through pre test for lasik surgery few days before and found that the cornea is fit for surgery. Pl give me expert opinion whether I need to wait for some more years or go for lasik.
