Yes it's true that radiotherapy and chemotherapy do damage normal cells, but normal cells have ability to repair themselves faster, hence do not die. Higher techniques like IMRT, RAPIDARC TOMOTHERAPY, VMAT, which are available in many centres, decrease the radiation to the normal cells and plenty of supportive medicines help you to overcome the toxicities of chemotherapy.

If your dentist told you its nothing to worry about then you should not worry about something serious. A line is formed in cheek near where your upper and lower teeth meets. Usually it appears both side of cheek. If you have same thing then don't worry. If its something else then you can consult another dentist for opinion.
