He is prone to develop chronic pancreatitis or probably he is already suffering. Ursodioxycholic Acid 300 mg can be tried after meal twice daily. But probably endoscopic removal with temporary stentimg will be better for him at this age. Surgery is more definitive as well as more aggressive mode.

If you want to more sure about presence or absence of stone. Then get ncct abdomen which can give you 100 percent assurance of stone.

If the stone is more than 7-8 mm and causing hydronephrosis then you should get it removed by a urologist. IVP will give a better picture.
