BDS, MDS - Orthodontics

Dentist•Howrah
Hello Lybrate user, the asymmetrical of your face can be either due to a skeletal deformity (problem underlying in the bone structure) or dentoalveolar deformity (problem in tooth and it's surrounding bone). It may be also due to a combination of both the problems. This problem can be treated with Orthodontic treatment (braces). You need to visit an Orthodontist (braces specialist) for an in-clinic assessment of your face, teeth and jaw to discuss further on treatment modalities.

Yes surgery can be done but it not advisable for you to undergo surgery since your face will change shape as you will age. It might get slim on its own.

Hi, Lip reduction Surgery is a very good option for you. In the surgery, the inner fat of the Lip will be removed. Surgery takes about 2-3 hours and costs about 50,000/- bucks. Hospital stay is for 1 day only. I hope you have located a Surgeon for doing this. If you haven't then do let me know. Thanks.

Hi, treatment plan can only be adviced after examination and medical history. Heavy masseter muscles (facial muscles for mastication) might be a reason, botox injection in the masseter muscles, improves the overall aesthetics. There are other facial contouring are available which can be decided only after examination.
