Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
For bone infection it is necessary to get it properly examined by a surgeon. Then if need be all the debrs need to be cleaned up and regular dressing has to be done. Plus there would be a need for appropriate antibiotic. Online only advice on antibiotic can be given. That too if you come in a private conversation giving all the details. Also let me know if you have diabetes. Thanks.

If she has no problem, no need to do any intervention. It is quite normal in few individuals. Don't worry. Just check her parathyroid levels.

You can manage it initially with conservative management. Get treated with Ultrasonic therapy which would directly heal the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. Along with ultrasonic therapy, shortwave diathermy also can be given. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area.

Heel bone spur is a form of calcium deposit that causes a bony protrusion under the heel bone. An X-ray can reveal up to a half inch elongation under the hill. Without image report, this condition is commonly known as heel spur syndrome. Heel spurs are mostly painless but reports of pain in not uncommon. They are often related to plantar fasciitis. The latter is an inflammation of the connective tissue that stretches through the foot bottom connecting the heel bone and the football.
