Hi Sir, I had a MI in 2005, and till treated by medicine, No CABG or Angioplasty, Angio-LAD-90%, still smoking high quality 4/5 cigarettes a day. Is it can be a cause of stroke?

YOu have a dangerous reason to stroke or second MI unless you stop smoking . You must stop it and do moderate exercises daily for a good life ahead.

I am suffering from membranous nephritis. My protein in urine is 3gm. But creatinine normal. Protein in blood is bit low. Doctor gave me tacrolimus cap ip 1+1 mg twice daily. ramistar 2.5 and wysolone ,shelcal 500. But someone tell me tacrolimus is used for kidney transplantation. Is it right or if I go for another doctor? Is this disease curable?Please suggest. I am 31 years old.

Tacrolimus is used for kidney transplant as well as membranous nephropathy. It takes a little time for protein to reduce. Just be patient, and follow the instructions given by your nephrologist. You should be fine.

Hello.
Tacrolimus level depends upon a lot of factors. In patients with high risk transplant, we tend to keep Tacrolimus level at a higher range. In general, if everything else is going well, level should be around 6.
But again, it depends upon a lot of factors and the nephrologist you r following should be able to guide you better.

More serious but uncommon risks include bleeding, which results from anti-clotting medications. Other more serious risks include seizures, abdominal cramps, and tingling in the limbs. Plasmapheresis may not be an appropriate treatment for some people, including: people who are hemodynamically unstable.
