2 month ago I got scaphoid fracture on left wrist. After ignoring for 1 month thinking it's a sprain. Then after a month I got xray and ctscan by which doctor suggested for casting for 6 weeks. It was 4 weeks completed after casting but I was feeling little pain sometimes. So instead of going hospital in covid I but today medicines for fast healing of bone from medical store. He gave me calcimax k2 plus (once a day) & calcitas d3 sachet once a week. Is this medicine is correct for faster bone healing? If not kindly provide the name of medicines for the same.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Without surgery, your ankle will be placed in a cast or splint for 4 to 8 weeks. The length of time you must wear a cast or splint depends on the type of fracture you have. Your cast or splint may be changed more than once, as your swelling goes down. Hello, I had a fracture in my femur 3 years ago. The doctor at that time treated the fracture by placing a rod in it. In starting it felt normal after the surgery, but now I seeing that my foot is not pointing straight now as my other unharmed leg's foot instead it's now pointing a little outward. If I try to get it straight then I can't walk properly and my knee points inward. There is most times pain in my hip and knee and I can't even run properly now. I looked online and found out that it's a case of femoral retroversion and sometimes it needs surgery to fix it. But i'm wondering that is there such reliable facility available in india where they fix this femoral retroversion because now I can't do all those things I used to do before and this thing is affecting my self esteem.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Treatment of femoral retroversion can become very difficult. The primary treatment is to attempt to stretch the muscle group in the hip to improve internal rotation. This must be done aggressively at a very early age to try to improve the overall muscle balance in the hip. When I was child I left my broken rib untreated now when I am adult I realize that it has deformed. Will I survive. Please help.

Yes as u r already surviving. U have not mentioned whether u r facing any problem. In case of fracture of rib, u can not plaster. So it heals on its own. So if still in doubt do an X-ray of chest (PA and lateral view).
