When there are high levels of uric acid in the blood a condition occurs called hyperuricemia. When there are high levels of uric acid in the blood it can lead to many diseases like highly painful arthritis disease called gout. High uric acid can lead to many more health problems like kidney diseases, heart diseases and a few more. ; Purines are nucleic acid ring structure bases. When these purines break down in the body uric acids are formed. These purines are found in the food we eat. ;Such foods are: 1) red meat 2) organ meat 3) seafood 4) beans When we urinate we discard uric acid but when the body makes too much or we are not able to discard it through urination, hyperuricemia occurs. Discarding is an indication that the kidney is not functioning properly. These uric acids at many places get crystallized by forming bonds to another and deposit at one place. Mainly it forms near joints or in your kidney. When immunity sees it as foreign substances wbc attacks the crystal causing it pain and inflammation. ; Diseases 1) gout is a type of arthritis called gouty arthritis. 15 percent of people suffer from hyperuricemia. When there is a sudden drop in the levels of uric acid gout can be experienced. Gout at joints are isolated attacks for a short time like flares. But there are people who experience chronic gout. In this there are numbers of attacks for a long period of time. Sometimes called gouty arthritis, occurs in about 20 percent of people with hyperuricemia. A rapid drop in uric acid levels can also trigger gout. Gout can appear as isolated attacks, or flares. Some people experience chronic gout, which involves a number of attacks occurring over short periods of time. Gout can occur at any joints like knee, elbow, feet, ankles and sometimes toes and fingers. These are normal occurrences of gout. Usually gout happens to inflammate at night and continue to pain for a long period of time. ; Symptoms of gout in the body are: There is severe pain in your joints. Joint stiff in the morning. Joints are not able to move. Redness and swelling are seen in the area of joints. Misshapen joints can be seen. 2) kidney stones Uric acid deposits in cyst to form the crystal stones in the kidney. Sometimes these stones are small in structure and can easily pass in urine while urinating. For some people these crystal forms are big and cannot leave the kidney or urinary tract which cause high pain in the abdomen. ; Symptoms of kidney stones are: There will be pain in the abdomen, back or in the urinary tract. We might feel nauseated. There is pain while urinating and urinating is increased. There might be blood in your urine. Your urine may smell more and you have fever and chills. Sometimes when there is urine accumulation in the urinary tract there is bacterial infection. ; 3) tophaceous gout When there is accumulation of crystal for many years it grows to form tophi. It is formed by clumping. These become hard and lumps like which are found in joints, ear. It makes the joint pain heavily and many where it compresses the nerves. High form can be visually distinguished. ; People who are at risk: Anyone can have hyperuricemia, it's not specific to somebody. Who can have it more readily are: Who consumes alcohol. Medication given there is heart disease. Some kind of pesticide exposure. Lead exposure to people can be the cause. Any other kidney diseases. People who have high blood glucose and high pressure of blood People with hypothyroidism can easily suffer from it. People with high intake of proteins. ; Hyperuricemia is diagnosed: Blood and urine samples are tested to measure the creatine levels. It gives you the details of uric acid levels and kidney functions. A blood sample is taken from the hand. Urine samples are taken for 24 hrs. By this doctors can determine the problem. Doctors advised you to take a purines free diet which help doctors to determine: 1) to check whether you are eating high purine diets. 2) your body is making too much uric acid in the body. 3) your body excrete uric acid but maybe not enough. 3) when there is a change of gout, the doctor advised to check the knee by extracting fluid from joints. This is done by a fine needle and sent to the lab to determine the crystal in joints and to what levels it has reached. This tells us everything about gout. ; Treatment Gout is treated with following medication: 1) nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids) prevent the inflammation of the gout. Ibuprofen, naproxen are given. 2) colchicine is given to people who don't have relief from nsaid. ; Kidney stones are also tested with all this medication. Conclusions: The hyperuricemia can cause severe problems with diseases like kidney stones and gout. Many people take medication without consulting the doctors. All this can make you suffer all your life so please follow the doctors.

Blood pressure: the cylindrical pressure to the inner surface of walls of arteries due to blood pumped by the heart is called blood pressure. An instrument which is used by doctors to measure blood pressure of a person is called sphygmomanometer. We commonly get confused with pulse rate checked by hand- pulse rate is no. Of times heart beats per minute but that heartbeat causes pressure on walls during its systolic and diastolic phases. ;Blood pressure level less than 120/80 mmhg is considered as normal blood pressure level. Blood pressure is of two types systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure Systolic blood pressure - it is the pressure which is caused by the heart while contracting and pushing the blood out. Diastolic blood pressure- it is the pressure that remains in arteries when the heart is relaxed. ; Note- our blood pressure is higher in the day as compared to night. Due to irregularity of pressure, there are two types of pressure: 1) high blood pressure: it can be defined as a state in which the exerted pressure of the blood towards the artery walls is too high and this condition is also known as hypertension. Blood pressure level above 140/90 is considered as high and if the pressure is above 180/120 it is considered severe. ; 2) low blood pressure: this can be defined as a condition in which the pressure of the blood towards the artery walls is too low and this condition is also known as hypotension. Blood pressure level less than 90/60 is considered as very low. The pressure against the walls may lower due to many factors. ; The main causes of low blood pressure can be: Pregnancy. Hormonal problems. Diabetic person (high blood sugar). Over-the-counter medicine Heart arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms) Widening or dilation of blood vessels. Heart failure. Blood loss from bleeding. Low body temperature. Heat stroke. Sepsis (type of blood infection). Dehydration. ; Symptoms of blood pressure: Blurred or fading vision. Feeling dizzy. Faint. Tiredness. Vomiting. ; Home remedies by which low blood pressure can be controlled: Use more salt- having salt in your diet increases your blood pressure. When we eat more sodium it gets absorbed into capillaries so there is more concentration in the blood. Blood has a standard osmotic balance which is disturbed by sodium uptake so to regain the osmotic balance it intakes more water, as holding more water in blood vessels leads to increase in blood pressure within a few minutes. ; Drink more water. Fluids such as juices, coconut water, aam panna, bael ka sharbat, water etc increases blood volume. As they increase in volume, the heart has to pump more to balance the standard volume which can lead to increase in the blood pressure. Wear compression stockings- it is used to get rid of pain and swelling of varicose veins thus normal bp is maintained. Varicose veins may get twisted and enlarged in the legs and hands due to excessive pressure or work done by a person. By wearing these they help not to twist or dilate the veins thus maintaining the blood pressure. They help in improving the blood flow from legs to heart which leads to improvement in the blood pressure level. ; Exercise- exercising contracts the calf muscle (soleus muscles)(second heart) that helps to return the blood to the heart easily by pumping the blood while walking, or running. These muscles surround the veins in the leg when it contracts to pump the blood ahead. Doing yoga like pranayama increases blood pressure as it increases oxygen delivery rate by making the heart work more and faster. And doing any exercise releases adrenaline which increases heart rate and causes vasoconstriction in muscles thus increasing blood pressure. ; Coffee - we should take coffee instantly as caffeine present in it makes your adrenal glands release more adrenaline, which increases heartbeat which causes your blood pressure to increase. Any type of caffeine beverage like red bull, pep, or tea helps to increase blood pressure. Eat a balanced diet - low levels of vitamin b12, iron and folic acid may cause anemia, it is a condition which occurs when your body can t make sufficient blood and which leads to low blood pressure. Eating smaller meals can prevent low blood pressure because larger meals cause more blood to reach the stomach to uptake nutrients thus lowering the blood pressure. ; Body posture - we should gently move to a standing position from lying flat or squatting. We should sit with our legs crossed. While standing, if low blood pressure symptoms begin then try crossing your thighs like a pair of scissors and squeeze it or try putting one of your feet on a chair or ledge then lean it as far & forward as possible. These moves will enhance blood flow from the legs to the heart and thus will increase blood pressure. Conclusion: Low blood pressure or hypotension is caused by many factors as stated above. They may be due to underlying diseases or stress or poor overweight management. Older people should get checked regularly because it may be due to an upcoming heart attack. There are many medications to balance it on a daily basis. Exercise is a must for longer benefits. People should take care if they find themselves dizzy and faint, and immediately consult your doctor. ;

Principle: When a woman gets fertilized and starts to conceive the embryo, the fertilized egg descends from the fallopian tube and attaches itself to the uterine wall. At the stage of placenta formation embryos start producing a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hcg). This hormone enters the bloodstream and in urine. The test (home made or kit) uses antibodies of this hcg in the urine to detect the pregnancy in women. When women get pregnant she misses the successive period. During which hcg hormone concentration increases. So women must check it after her first miss of the period. We should check for pregnancy twice or thrice because it is difficult to get results. When women don't keep up with their menstruation cycle, there are chances of miscalculation of period date and women menstruate at different times in months. This might be a sign of pregnancy by miss date but must be confirmed with a pregnancy test. ;5 miu/ml of hcg is a negative test. 6 miu/ml and 24 miu/ml of hcg is a unsure test. 25 miu/ml of hcg is a positive result test. Natural test: 1) salt in the kitchen can be used to test. Ingredients needed are the morning urine sample, salt, and glass to mix. A) take a morning urine sample and a pinch of salt in a glass. Mix it well and wait for three minutes. B) after reaction creamy white clumps are formed which get positive results. C) if there is no formation of white clumps, you are not pregnant. 2) sugar in the kitchen can be used in this test. Ingredients needed are morning urine samples, sugar, and glass to mix. A) take a morning urine sample and add sugar in a glass. Mix it well and wait. B) hcg urine does not dissolve the sugar, it forms the lumps this means you are pregnant. C) if sugar gets dissolved, you are pregnant. 3) we eat wheat and barley in our diet. We can use it to determine the pregnancy. In this the principle is that seed if wheat and barley germinate at double rate in that urine. Ingredients required are wheat seed, urine sample, glass bowl. A) put wheat and barley seeds into a bowl and add the urine sample. Leave it for 2 days. B) if seeds germinate you are pregnant. C) if seeds do not germinate you are not pregnant. 4) this mustard is used. Principle is that mustard helps to generate the heat in the body which helps activate the period. Ingredients needed are half cup mustard powder, and warm water in a tub. In a warm water tub add mustard powder and immerse yourself in it for 20 days. Wait for 2 and 3 days to see periods. If you get periods you are not pregnant. If you do not get a period, you are pregnant. 5) dandelion plants can give you an accurate test for pregnancy. Ingredients needed are dandelion leaves, plastic sheet, and morning urine sample. Take a plastic sheet and spread dandelion leaves on it. Pour the urine sample over it and wait for 15 min. If you are pregnant, the leaves turn to reddish-brown or bubble formation takes place. If you are not pregnant, there will be no changes in the leaves color. 6) a test is done by storing urine. Items needed are a glass jar and a morning urine sample. Take the morning urine and place it in a glass jar. If there is a layer formation in the jar, you are pregnant. If there is no formation in the jar you are not pregnant. 7) wine can be used to detect pregnancy. Ingredients needed are morning urine samples and wine. Mix the urine and wine. Let it rest for a few minutes. If the color changes of the wine, then you are pregnant. If color doesn't change, then you are not pregnant. 8) in this test you need tuna extract juice, white vinegar, and urine samples. A) take the tuna juice and white vinegar. For a day of gap add the urine in it. B) if the green color comes out you are pregnant. C) if the yellow color comes out, then you are not pregnant. 9) take a small amount of toothpaste and mix it with urine. If it turns blue and frothy you are pregnant. No reaction means you are not pregnant. 10) basal body temperature in the morning remains 37 degrees when you are pregnant. If it is lower than 37 degrees you are not pregnant. ; Conclusion: Pregnancy can be a stressful and important decision to make, so we should be confirmed on this matter.
