1. Avoid exposure to cold
2. Take bath with little warm water 3. Do steam inhalation regularly at least once a day
4. Warm salt water gargles daily 5 no cold water / cold drinks / ice creams and so on
6. No smoking/ avoid pollution 7. Wash hands after use of bath room and before and after eating food.

U may use normal saline nasal drop) spray.
And also alkaline nasal wash (in one liter water add one small spoon salt and khane ka soda. Then ise garm karna he/ ubalna he aur uske baad thanda karna gai same as body temp. Than 20 ml syringe (without needle) se nose ko wash karna hai. Isse aapko aram mil jayega.

The problem can be solved only by proper clinical examination by ent specialist for allergy, defect in nostrils, tonsils etc. If necessary correction of defect like growth in nose, septal defect or infected tonsils is to be corrected. Avoid dryness of mouth by consuming by drinking water up to 8-10 glasses daily. No smoking. Antibiotics if advised should be taken in adequate dose for long duration. Early warm saltwater gargling daily night if mildest complaints.

History of temporary nasal block for 3-4 days suggests allergy of nose at night resulting in nasal secretion resulting in blockage. You have to find out the exact cause of allergy in bed room like house dust, oily bed sheets, pillow covers, improper ventilation of bed room.
