During incomplete miscarriage, all your tissues won't come out. At this stage, treatment becomes necesary to stop bleeding and prevent infection. D&c aka dilation and curettage is the most common procedure which involves widening your cervix and scraping the uterine lining. General anesthesia is involved to put you to sleep during the process. Another way of stop the bleeding during a miscarriage is the use of antibiotics. It helps in passing the tissue and will stop the bleeding.

It may take several weeks after miscarriage that your pregnancy test report appears negative. Though this phenomenon is not certain and it depends on patient to patient as there are several circumstances affecting this. In general, your hormones take time to return to their pre-pregnancy levels after a miscarriage. Hcg or human chorionic gonadotropin remains high for several weeks after a miscarriage, resulting into a positive pregnancy report.
