Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come.
some times there is low lying placenta which is called as placental previa. in placenta previa some times pain less bleeding or spotting can occur. so you take complete bed rest and go for ultrasound to rule out placenta previavand for fetatal well being.
please do not panic.
Though bleeding is not a good sign in pregnancy, still sometimes it occurs due to other reasons than miscarriage. Undergo USG as soon as possible to rule out the cause of bleeding.
