My girlfriend is 17 years old and she said she had a bump/lump the size of a quarter. She said it has grown larger since when she first noticed it. I believe this could be cancerous because she has had a family member that has recently passed away due to untreated cancer. She also has been experiencing symptoms of ovarian cancer such as: urinating very frequently (with little water intake) irregular periods (she has been on her period for 4+ weeks) feeling full after not eating much food (sometimes, also sometimes skips meals) random upset stomachs (frequent) pelvic pain (frequent) swelling/bloating in her abdomen intercourse has been painful (last time was about 6 months ago) other things she experiences that have raised my concern: pain in the breasts (just the left one) unable to get pregnant (even when not using any form of birth control) feeling lightheaded (fell in the shower recently due to it) pain in her legs (this happened once recently for a couple days but it hasn’t happened since) feeling overheated (to the point where she needs to splash her face with cold water and sit down) (this happens daily) please give me as much information, I am not an expert I just need to know what we should do next, she has an appointment scheduled but it's not for a long time (october 6th) because of covid-19. What should we do? What treatment would she need. Need help asap. It seems like symptoms keep getting worse and more out of control and we're scared that she will not be able to wait until her appointment that is in october.

Hi lybrate-user. Your girlfriend should undergo some tests to ascertain the diagnosis like ct scan of abdomen, thyroid function tests, sex hormonal profile.

I am sorry to hear about your concern, but I will be happy to assist you.
Ovarian cancer is rare in women younger than 40. The percentage of ovarian cancer-related deaths in the same age group was less than 1 percent. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
