It is a chronic inflammatory condition of the skin causing a distinctive pattern of symptoms such as itching, scaling, thickening of skin and discoloration of skin.
 
CAUSES:
• Heredity.
• Can be associated with asthma.
• Allergic – dust mites, detergents, rubber, nickel plated jewellery.
Stress – physical or emotional.

SIGN AND SYMPTOMS:
• Intense itching.

DIETARY MANAGEMENT:

DO:
• You can apply non-medicated ointments like petroleum jelly to soothe the irritation.

6 Most Common Gastrointestinal Problems!

The gastrointestinal tract is a large muscular tube that extends all the way from the mouth to the rectum in human beings. It is also called the digestive tract or alimentary canal. The muscles in this tube move the food, all the way to the stomach, from the mouth and then, due to the release of enzymes, the food is digested. The components of the gastrointestinal tract are the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder etc. 

Symptoms of gastrointestinal tract problems include:

  1. Pain
  2. Abdominal distension
  3. Heartburn
  4. Bloating
  5. Nausea
  6. Vomiting
  7. Constipation
  8. Diarrhea

Some of the most common gastrointestinal tract problems are:

  1. Chest Pain: Also known as Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease, this happens if the stomach acids travel back into one’s esophagus. This phenomenon is commonly called an acid reflux. Often, it could occur after meals. It is quite common to experience this every once in a while. However, having these on a daily basis or at least thrice a week should not be ignored, as it could be a symptom of GERD.
  2. Celiac Disease:  This refers to severe gluten sensitivity, a protein present in rye, wheat and barley. People who suffer from this disease are advised to avoid consumption of gluten in any form. The consumption of gluten sends the immune system on attack mode, damaging the villi which are found in the small intestine, that help to absorb nutrients from the food consumed.
  3. Irritable Bowel Syndrome: The feeling of discomfort and stomach pain, at least thrice a month for a prolonged period of time, maybe a symptom of IBS. What causes IBS  is unknown, but the treatment is to avoid foods which produce gas. A diet low in fats and high in fiber content is also advised. 
  4. Hemorrhoids: Blood during bowel movements is a sign of hemorrhoids. It happens when the blood vessels present towards the end of one’s digestive tract get inflamed. The causes may include diarrhea, chronic constipation, or a low fiber diet. OTC creams may give temporary relief. A high fiber diet, drinking a lot more water, and exercising regularly is advised. 
  5. Crohn’s Disease: This is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system mistakenly attacks cells in your own body. Crohn’s disease is part of a group of digestive conditions called inflammatory bowel disease. Some symptoms include weight loss, rectal bleeding and abnormal pain.
  6. Gallstones: These are hard deposits that form in the gallbladder. They occur when there is a high amount of waste or cholesterol in your bile. Gallstones block the passage from the gallbladder to the intestines, which may result in a sharp pain felt in the upper right region of the abdomen. Medication to dissolve the gallstones or surgery is advised.

Some tips to increase your height: 1.Do Exercise regularly: Spending much time and doing many exercises is not important, as it will not give you efficient output .Every exercise is different and done for different results. Do only stretching exercises that helps you to increase the space between your vertebrae and due to which your height increases. Swimming is also considered a good exercise for increasing height. 2.Take proper sleep: Taking a proper sleep is also important as it is scientifically proven that our body produces more human growth hormone during sleep. You should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. During sleeping body repairs the daMaged cells which is equally important. 3.Have proper diet: Have a proper calcium, protein diet, as protein helps in human growth while calcium helps in making bones stronger. Your diet should be balanced with all the essential minerals. Eat enough fruits and drink lots of water. Take 3-4 meals per day but remember that at one time you should not each much as it will affect your growth. 4.Cycling and play games: Cycling is considered to be good exercise for increasing your height. The temporary inability to move one’s own limbs or speak is known as paralysis. Paralysis is triggered by problems with the body’s nervous system and affects the functioning of muscles all over the body. This condition can affect a single limb, the right or left side of the body, or the complete body. A paralytic attack is often caused by a stroke or damage in the nervous system. It can also be caused by exposure to radiation or toxins, autoimmune diseases, tumours and spinal cord trauma. Recovery from a paralytic attack depends on the causes and the extent of the injury that triggered it. With some types of paralysis, partial or even complete, recovery is possible.

Ayurveda is an alternative system of medicine that can be quite effective when it comes to treating paralysis. Ayurveda has negligible side effects and hence can be used to treat adults and children alike. This system of medication does not look only at the physical symptoms but also the mental and spiritual well-being of the patient as well. Some ways to treat paralysis with Ayurveda are as follows:

  3. Medication: Along with lifestyle changes, Ayurvedic medication also plays a role in the treatment of paralysis. Some popular Ayurvedic remedies for paralysis are rasnadi quath, medicated castor oil, pippali mula, vatavidhwamsana rasa, chopcheeni churna, ashwagandha churna, brihat vatachintamani rasa, ashwagandha churna and rasaraja. While some of these medicines are to be taken orally, others may need to be administered through the nostrils as part of nasyam Ayurvedic treatments and others via an enema as part of sneha vasti. Drinking 20–40 ml of radish oil twice a day and a mixture of black pepper powder, sunti and honey is also said to be beneficial in treating paralysis. However, one must keep in mind that recovery from paralysis is very slow and hence patience is a must.

Hi lybrate-user, Fatigue can also be the result of a faulty immune system. There are some people that are not able to take rest or go for a proper sleep until they finish the task they had undertaken. Such people are more prone to suffer from chronic fatigue and are always tensed and under some pressure. There are various home remedies that can store back your lost energy and rejuvenate you. Home Remedy for Fatigue 1. Take 3 drops of rosemary essential oil, 7 drops of lavender essential oil, 2 drops of peppermint oil, 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of sea salt. Place all the ingredients in an air tight container and shake well. Take some hot water in a bath tub and add all the ingredients just before going for bath. 2. Take a bath in this water for around 15 minutes and after that take a shower with cold water. Lavender provides soothing effect, rosemary provides energizing effects and peppermint provides upliftment. 3. An individual suffering from fatigue should have a proper nutritious diet. राई का वैज्ञानिक नाम से सेकेल सेरियल है. यह एक घास जैसा लगने वाला पौधा है. हलांकि इसके बीज देखने में जौ या गेहूं जैसा ही होता है. इसके उत्पादन की शुरुवात तुर्की से हुई थी लेकिन आज इसका उत्पादन संपूर्ण विश्व में किया जाता है. राई की खेती करने में सबसे बड़ी समस्या ये है कि इसकी जड़ों में फंगस लग जाता है. जिससे इसके फसल के जल्दी ही सड़ जाने का डर रहता है. राई में कई तरह के पोषक तत्वों और खनिज पदार्थों की प्रचुरता होती है. जैसे इसमें मैग्नीशियम, फाइबर, मैगनीज, फास्फोरस, तांबा, विटामिन बी, फिनॉलिक एंटीऑक्सीडेंट्स, आदि प्रमुख रूप से पाए जाते हैं. राई के फायदे और नुकसान पर एक नजर डालते हैं.

1. पाचन तंत्र को मजबूत बनाने में
कई शोधों से यह पता चलता है कि राई, एक महत्वपूर्ण पाचन में मदद करने वाला एक महत्वपूर्ण खाद्य पदार्थ है. राई हमारी कोशिकाओं की उपापचय की क्षमता को भी अनुकूलित करने के साथ-साथ हानिकारक जीन के उत्पादन को भी कम करती है.

राई का उपयोग कैंसर के उपचार में भी किया जाता है. क्योंकि इसमें मौजूद फेनोलिक्स नाम का एंटीऑक्सीडेंट कई तरह के कैंसर जैसे की ब्रेस्ट कैंसर, पेट के कैंसर और प्रोस्टेट कैंसर को रोकने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है.
3. कब्ज दूर करने में
राई फाइबर समृद्ध खाद्य पदार्थ होने के कारण हमारे शरीर में कब्ज जैसी समस्याओं के निदान में उपयोगी है. इसके अलावा राई में पाया जाने वाला पोषक तत्व पेट की अन्य समस्याएं जैसे कि पेट में गैस, पेट दर्द, ऐंठन, अल्सर, पित्त पथरी आदि को भी कम करने का काम करते हैं.
4. वजन घटाने में

शुगर में हमारे शरीर में इंसुलिन के स्तर में काफी बढ़ोतरी हो जाती है. इसलिए भोजन के समय यह ध्यान रखना होता है कि उस खाद्य पदार्थ से हमारे शरीर में इंसुलिन का स्तर न बिगड़े. इसलिए आपको चाहिए ऐसा खाद्य पदार्थ जिसमें ये गुण पहले से ही मौजूद हो. राइ एक ऐसा ही खाद्य पदार्थ है जिससे कि इन्सुलिन का स्तर प्रभावित नहीं होता है. इसका कारण ये है कि राई बड़े अणुओं से बना होता है इसलिए ये आसानी से सरल चीनी में नहीं टूटता है.
6. अस्थमा के उपचार में
राई के नियमित सेवन बच्चों में अस्थमा की संभावना को कम कर सकता है. कई शोधों में ऐसा पाया गया है कि राई का सेवन करने वाले बच्चों की तुलना में जिन बच्चों ने राई का सेवन नहीं किया था उनमें अस्थमा होने की संभावना 60% तक ज्यादा पाई गई.
7. रक्तचाप में
यदि आप एथिरोस्केलेरोसिस जिसमें धमनियां ब्लॉक हो जाती हैं, या उच्च रक्तचाप से पीड़ित हैं तो आपके लिए राई का सेवन काफी फायदेमंद साबित हो सकता है. क्योंकि राई में विटामिन खनिज और फाइबर प्रचुर मात्रा में पाए जाते हैं. जो कि आपकी धमनियों के ब्लॉकेज को खत्म कर सकते हैं.
8. पित्ताशय की पथरी में

Hi, the symptoms of psoriasis can be reduced by making some diet changes. Avoid gluten containing foods (wheat, barley and rye) as they might enhance the symptoms of the condition. Milk products, red meat, citrus fruits, tomato, potato, peppers (bell pepper, paprika, tomatillo, cayenne), egg plant, Refined carbohydrates, alcohol, fried and junk foods have to be avoided. Intake of spices like ginger, garlic, turmeric etc. Helps to fight inflammation. Fish should be considered as it provides source of omega-3 fatty acids. Plenty intake of water along with exercise will improve your condition.
