Mr. Lybrate-user, there is no specific mention about amount of sugar to be added, but one can consume up to 8 ounces of coffee (240 ml), seems to give many benefits as claimed. If you need to add sugar, you may add about a spoonful. Thanks for the question.

Hi.
Thanks for the query.
Remember always that no food works in isolation.
Green coffee may help boost metabolism maybe by a mere 5% but exclusively depending on green coffee wont help weight loss.
Your diet and exercise is always going to be the most important to lose weight.
Some people are genetically not able to metabolize caffeine so be cautious to not have more than 2 cups a day if you do or you may land up with some cardiac issue.

Hi Lybrate-User, green coffee or green tea taken before meals preferably before breakfast and lunch helps alot by boosting up your metabolism. However you need to restrict the intake to twice a day as higher quantities results in reduced vitamin absorption in our stomach, especially of iron and calcium.

Drinking plain water before tea / coffee helps less acid build build up in stomach. You must take 2-3 fibre biscuits or rusks with tea / coffee. Never take tea / coffee alone.

Once I was reading an article by famous social reformer Kaka Saheb Kalelkar and his words about tea-"fresh tea leaves boil in water with jaggery as sweetener and no milk" This is called black tea nowadays but jaggery is replaced by sugar?
