Bedwetting, also known as Nocturnal Enuresis, can be referred to as the unintended and involuntary urination during sleep. Enuresis, being a medical term, stands for wetting, whether during the day in full clothing or at night in bed. For young children and infants, urination is certainly involuntary. It is worth note that children who wet their beds are not actually being disobedient or lazy.

Bedwetting Waking in the middle of night to change the child s bedsheet after an episode of bedwetting can be frustrating and embarrassing for both parents and child. Frustrated parents sometimes conclude a child is wetting the bed out of sheer laziness. Kids worry there's something wrong with them -- especially when teased by their siblings. Normally a child should learn bladder control by the age of 5 years.
