Hello Sourabh, Topical steroids are an excellent option for alopecia areata along with minoxidil lotions. if the lesions do not show improvement in 4-6 weeks, u can try intralesional steroids for quicker results.

What exactly you mean patch of alopecia. Do you mean you hv lost hair in a patch or you hv flakes of danruff coming out in patch. If it's flakes of danruff ideally shud use a maintainance shampoo for few days so that it dsnt relapse.
