The initial choice of treatment is a steroid ointment that is locally applied. (This can be suggested by a doctor after you are examined in person) The ointment softens the foreskin and is applied for up to 6 weeks. When full retraction is possible the ointment is stopped.
If this treatment is unsuccessful, a circumcision (surgical removal of foreskin) may be advised.

Dear user. PENILE ITCHING could be due to many factors. Men who are uncircumcised (who have the foreskin remaining around the penis) are prone to balanitis, an inflammation of the foreskin that is often caused by poor hygiene, irritation, or infections. Penile itch is not an emergency, but it may be a sign of a disease that can be transmitted to others. Please consult a doctor for physical investigation which is essential for diagnosis. Take care.

Balanitis is an inflammation of the head (the glans) and foreskin of the penis.
It generally affects uncircumcised males. In balanitis, the head and foreskin become red and inflamed. In circumcised men, who lack a foreskin, these symptoms only affect the tip of the penis.
The inflammation can be due to infection, harsh soaps, or failure to properly rinse soap off while bathing.

Gentle retraction of the foreskin daily and soaking in warm water to clean penis and foreskin is esse...more

Swelling of the foreskin or head of the penis is called balanitis
Balanitis is a condition that largely occurs in uncircumcised men. Balanitis can be a painful condition, but it isn’t a serious one. It can usually be relieved using topical medication.
The main cause of balanitis is poor hygiene. Poor hygiene causes harmful bacteria to overpopulate the area, which can lead to infection. The foreskin of the penis is an ideal place for bacteria to grow.
