No not at all. A new born baby should exclusively on breast feeds till 5 to 6 months of age. Or only milk feeds till 6 months.

There is nothing to give quick rise. Growing takes its own time provided good balanced nourishing diet is given. Your baby is under wt. Add oily stuff in his diet.

U may continue feeding 4 to 5 times in a day if baby demands. Continue variety of home prepared nourishing solids of his taste also 2 to 3 times in a day.

Start weaning (introduction of food )the baby. Few points should be taken care of when introducing the food. Start with a food item at a time.
Started with orange juice. On first day give him only a teaspoon of orange juice in the midmorning. Next day increase the amount to two teaspoon. Try to give variety of semi solid food to develop her taste but do not force to eat. food may be tried like daliya, khichadi, dal n chapati pieces, suji kheer, haluwa, mashed potato etc etc. Increase quntity and frequency gradually after she starts eating. continue breast feeding and top milk.
