Any toothpaste is ok. Just brush twice daily and floss every night. Flossing is very good because usually cavities start in-between teeth where brush doesn't reach. Get dental check up every year.

Brush at least twice a day. The best time to brush teeth is after meals. Choose a toothbrush with a small head for better access to back teeth. Soft bristles are kinder on your gums.

Use fluoridated toothpaste. Fluoride helps to harden tooth enamel and reduces your risk of decay.

Brush thoroughly. Tooth brushing should take between two and three minutes.

Floss your teeth daily. Use a slow and gentle sawing motion.

Overall oral health consists of the health of both the soft and the hard tissues in the mouth. While teeth are the hard tissues, the soft tissues include the lips, tongue, cheek, palate, and most importantly the gums. The gums or the periodontium (peri - around, dont - tooth) surrounds the tooth and provides nutritional support and structural support with its connective tissue. The gums are the unsung heroes in maintaining a healthy set of teeth.

Hey there, you have not specified the age of your daughter so I cannot prescribe a medicine as dose needs to be altered with age. Put her on an antibiotic and pain killer that suits her for minimum 5 days.
Tell her to do warm saline rinses twice daily. Tell her to brush twice daily especially at night. Kindly send pics of her tooth using my doctor code gm2c5d.

What happens when you have a cavity?

When tooth decay is limited there is no pain. All decay starts on the enamel. Sealants can be applied to reduce the acid attack on the teeth. If detected early, these can be very well managed by removing the decayed portion and filling it with tooth-coloured composite resin restorations. Remember that even at a relatively late stage, when the tooth is broken/decayed badly, it can be built back to its original form.

It's difficult to properly clean partially erupted wisdom teeth. A buildup of food particles and dental plaque can cause gum infection around the tooth. Wisdom teeth are prone to decay because of their position in the back of the mouth. Infected wisdom teeth may also contribute to the decay of surrounding teeth. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.
