Fistulactomy in modern surgery where the rate of success is very low. The rate of success of Ayurvedic Kshar-Sutra surgery was found to be 98.6% in Fistula. Kshar-Sutra surgery in ano-rectal diseases is the best option available nowadays in medical science. Fistula is a difficult disease to treat from my point of view. It is known for reccurence even after surgery. So my personal preference is to put a seton in the fistulous tract and promote self and natural healing.
