There is no medical cure as of now for autism. If he is irritative then some drugs might be given. Special care needs to be given to him.

Dear parent, I am an allopathic practitioner, so I cannot advise you on the medicines but please seek speech and language therapy and occupational therapy also as soon as possible for your child, as the brain is still developing when the child is under 6 years and the earlier the therapy is started the more the benefits for him. Also, autism is a condition in which therapy is more important than medicines.

Hi aakash,
oxetol (oxcarbazepine) is one of the medication used for bipolar disorder, but we usually avoid during pregnancy. It can be associated with teratogenic effects. It would be better if you take your psychiatrist opinion before you plan to go ahead with pregnancy planning. The primary psychiatrist whom you are seeing will be in a better position to gauze your wife condition and guide you. Do not take any decision on your own, because stopping medication may cause relapse of the disea...more

I'm suffering from. Bipolar disorder, I take oxetol xr 150 mg single dose on alternate days. My situation has improved from past 10 years. I was diagnosed at the age of 12 with acute transient psychosis later I came to know that it's bipolar disorder. I usually had relapse once in 2 year or 1 year. Currently im taking maintenance dose i.e oxetol xr 150 mg. As a kid I have been always bright in my studies and sports. Medicines that have worked for me are encorate ,dicorate ,aripiprazole whenever I had relapse these medicines dosage have been increased and slowly within 2-3 months I have become normal. I personally feel that I should always take the maintenance dose. I'm working more than any average person, currently working as senior data scientist in mnc. I have done good in sports as well ,played state level tournaments. My current concern is my weight ,i want to maintain a healthy weight my height is 5'7 and my weight is 84. I want to maintain a healthy weight. I'm thankful to the suggestion given by my family psychiatry because of his suggestions and remedies only I have achieved everything in my life. Any suggestions and remedies to maintain a healthy weight will be appreciated. My current dosage is single oxetol xr 150 on alternate days. Is it possible to maintain a healthy weight with this dosage or not? Any ways to at least loose 10 kg weight with this medicine. Please help on this. Thanks in advance.

In bipolar disorder there are episodes of mania and depression/ or normal mood. In between the episodes a person is normal. Regarding your gf both are adults and only consensual feelings can move the relationship forward and not one sided feelings for the other. Get your bipolar disorder treated by a psychiatrist and try to achieve optimal functioning in life. Good luck.
