Respected Sir. I would like to request you to please forget about giving your grandson a diagnosis, atleast for now. Autism is quickly becoming a sort of "fashionable" diagnosis among the upper middle class people. I would like to know why you believe that he has Autism and supposing he does, I am sure you have already searched on the internet and consulted many others and already learnt that Autism as of now has no definitive treatment. From what I could gather from your question, he does appea...more

Early diagnosis and treatment helps young children with autism develop to their full potential. The primary goal of treatment is to improve the overall ability of the child to function.
Symptoms and behaviors of autism can combine in many ways and vary in severity. Also, individual symptoms and behaviors often change over time. First of all engage yourself in some strenous physical activities like gym or brisk walking. Also take right kind of food. And finally enjoy some soothing music based in your likings. Do these activities for 1 month. And see the difference. You don't need any medicine as of now.

I hope you're keeping well. I understand that you have been diagnosed with adhd and are currently taking ritalin, but it's not giving you the desired results.
There are indeed other amphetamine-based medications available in india, such as adderall, but I would advise caution when considering such alternatives. While they can indeed be effective for some individuals, they also come with their own set of side effects, and their misuse can lead to serious health complications.
In contrast,...more

Dear Mr. lybrate-user
sorry to note your kid's condition. But you obviously try good authentic homeopathy treatment which can cover physical and mental developments. But behavioral therapy should go alongside. It may take time, but we should give utmost attempt to make the kid self dependent in future.

Dear member, I understand your struggle and appreciate your patience. An individualised homeopathic treatment helps tremendously for add, adhd and pandas in children as well as adults. A definite positive change is witnessed when a single medicine is given that matches the patient. A thorough homeopathic assessment lasting 2 hours is required after which the case is worked upon based on the core homeopathic principles and a treatment is charted. Regular assessments are done to modify treatment a...more

Non-stimulant for adhd? I am 19m and I had diagnosed with adhd 3 month my psychiatrist gave me starttera 6 mg and said to eat half a tablet for 14 days. After 14 days, no improvement so he increased dose to 18 mg full tablet this time. He said to eat it for 14 days. No major improvement also this time, he said to eat the same meds for 21 days. I was losing few minor improvements that I had got earlier from using it. After that he prescribed the same again for 1 month. Now, I am currently on 14th day of current one month period, with no major improvement. I forgot to add, I also have issues with my sleep and anxiety disorder. And I also, be autistic. He had given me 2.5 mg melatonin for sleep. I even, tried to ask what issue I have, is it adhd/autism. He stopped me saying that what you want, you want to be treated easily, early with less meds. Or you want to forever dependant on drug and visit me regularly. He was even against my habit of searching/trying to know what meds I am taking, what issue I have from web or any other source, even from the doc himself. What! fews day ago, my gi doc gave me amitriptyline for anxiety with ppi and multi vitamin, minerals antioxidants tablets, because he was suspecting anxiety is the main cause of my gerd issue. Tbh, my gi doc meds were much more effective for my mental health than my psychiatrist. English isn't my native, sorry for that. Haha. Even I suck at my native language. Current meds addvitamin max tablets afternoon, benztre-d 20 mg morning empty stomach, triplet-10 10 mg 2 times a day, altonil plus 5 (5 mg) at night, axepta-18 (18 mg) morning. It also includes my adhd, gerd and anxiety meds.

Hi lybrate-user I think you should contact your doctor for these changes. 5 mg of axepta may not really help with anything. You should reduce risperidone further if you want but continue the axepta. Once again, refer to and trust your child’s doctor on this one
hope this helps

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Children with spastic diplegia may have delays in motor development, including rolling over, sitting, and standing. They may walk on their toes, or walk with a scissored gait. Fortunately, although symptoms may change as the child grows older, spastic diplegia does not worsen over time.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a treatment plan for you.
