Stop clopidogrel after discussing with your Dr. Two blood thinners are required for about one year of stent. They can usually be reduced to aspirin alone after that. Atorva 20 can be reduced too, but better to do so 12 weeks after improving diet. Traditional balanced diet is healthier for heart than restricted modern diet. Beat wishes.

First you have to meet a Hematologist to find out the cause of low platelet count. Both Deplatt and Aspirin are antiplatelets .He needs further blood work up to ascertain the cause and accordingly he can b given antiplatelets. Alternate day aspirin will not be the answer.

He must Cut down all fatty foods from his diet and exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. Medicines should also be started. Get his blood pressure checked, ECG done and revert back so that I may guide you further.
