why you want to rely on homeopathy and ayurveda for preventing relapse of depression, is it because they claim no side effects. A molecule which provides desired antidepressant effect logically may produce undesirable effect in other cells. So the claims are false. After treatment of depression, better continue allopathic antidepressants in appropriate dose to prevent relapse. All the best

Dear,
its simple. if your depression in moderate to severe mainly without any associated stress then medication is the best resort. Side by side CBT can be done to deal with irrational thoughts/ suicidal behavior or anxiety management.
now if you have mild depression which can be managed through therapy or its situation specific stress related then only through psychotherapy success rate is high.
