The most effective solution for dealing with anxiety for me personally was waking up early. I am not a morning person but once I tried this, I was surprised how good this made me feel. It helped me find peace and calm myself down. Having so much time in my hand I could do small things that made me happy and I felt a sense of accomplishment just by waking up early. I feel the most anxious during the night- so sleeping early really helped me tackle it to a great extent.

I think there are other issues like obesity along with sleep issues. Obesity can lead to something called as obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (osas). It will not be benefitted by taking these above medications. Kindly consult a physician or psychiatrist and get your sleep evaluated with help of polysomnography (sleep study ). But, as a general measure I would suggest regular exercise / walking to reduce your weight and also practice sleep hygeine. Which you will get on google search. All the bes...more

Dear Amit,
Clonazepam is prescribed only if necessary. Try to avoid the combination. But if the anxiety is affecting the quality of life, please take both. There is no interaction between the two.

1.Use Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is another effective way to relieve stress and anxiety. It helps you with physical symptoms such as shallow breathing and rapid heart rate, and it also helps with controlling your thoughts. When you practice deep breathing, you're forced to take your thoughts off of whatever is causing you anxiety and to focus on the breathing technique that you are using.

The dose needs to be tapered and changed. There are effective alternatives to escitalopram. Consult any psychiatrist in person or online and based on the evaluation, alternates can be suggested. Good luck.

Dear Lybrate user, it is clear from your words that you are suffering from the problem for a very long time. You have been tried both with medications and talk therapy. But you should visit to a psychiatrist and narrate your problem. Other medications which are not tried upon you can be tried. It is always advisable to stick to your medications and not to stop without your doctor's advice.
